Brett says: The highly anticipated and highly sought after 2019 Jolie-Laide wines
are here @MetroWines! Scott Schultz has created one of the most cult followed productions in the states not just in name, but more so, for insane quality.
Farming some of the oldest and original California growths of Pinot Gris
and Trousseau, it's not hard to see why these gems are allocated.
The 2019 Pinot Gris comes from the old vine Glen Oaks Vineyard
of Sonoma County. Farmed organically, picked by hand, direct pressed and seeing only one day of skin contact. Purity and precision then fermented in concrete.
***Only 24 bottles available. $31 ***
2019 Trousseau Noir from one of the oldest plantings to grapes in the states, the Fanucchi Wood Road Vineyard. Little bit of Jura France style Gamay
and Poulsard added into the cuvee to pretty the whole package up a bit.
Nutty, woody, perfumed and floral. Fermented in concrete to maintain
the ancient vine mineral driven quotient. An incredible slice
of the high elevation French Alps from California royalty.
Only 12 bottles available. $33
