Join us to taste and learn about "Much Maligned Grapes," in a four class series hosted by Andy Hale, Director of the Asheville School of Wine, including Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Maybe you really don't like these grapes but maybe you do!
The classes will present the origins of each grape, the history, the differences in the terroir and styles of the grape made wine around the world. Taste each wine with Manchego Cheese, a cheese that pairs with almost every wine. Taste the differences as well as the pairing options!
"Maybe you think you don't like a particular varietal because you have only tasted the grape from one region or made in one style," says Gina Trippi, co-owner of MetroWines, "but tasting the result of different climates, soils and styles might change your mind about the grape!"
