News Release: Tuesday, July 28th, 2020

About: Online Tasting with Master Sommelier Joe Spellman and JUSTIN

This is BIG. This is JUSTIN! Join us on Monday, August 10th at 7pmEST on ZOOM for a tasting of three extraordinary wines from JUSTIN presented by Master Sommelier Joe Spellman. You will be at an online party with JUSTIN fans from cities around the country including Chicago, New York and Houston. The ZOOM presentation is on the house!

"This is a unique opportunity presented by one of the most well respected wineries in America and, judging from our sales here in Asheville, one of the most popular!" says Gina Trippi, co-owner of MetroWines.

The wines include two we have always shelved @MetroWines and a new one to our shop, JUSTIN Sauvignon Blanc.

JUSTIN Sauvignon Blanc from Central Coast, has been described as a "Bordeaux meets California" style that presents bright acidity, lemon and tropical flavors in a medium bodied crisp and clean wine. JUSTIN Cabernet Sauvignon made in Paso Robles was chosen as the "#5 Most Popular Restaurant Wine in the US" by Wine&Spirits Magazine in 2019. And JUSTIN Isosceles, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot scoring 94 Points from Wine Enthusiast. JUSTIN Cabernet and Cabernet blends are deep purple with a ruby core, full bodied, rich cherry wrapped in a Bordeaux style.

You do not need to purchase the wines to join in the online tasting. But when you buy any two of the three wines to be presented prior to the tasting, JUSTIN is presenting your purchase in an official JUSTIN tote bag while our stash lasts!

About JUSTIN:

OUR VINEYARDS

We planted our first vineyard back in 1981 with a mission to make world-class Bordeaux-style blends. Since then, we’ve expanded both our knowledge of viticulture in this unique region as well as our acreage.

SOIL

Rich in fossilized limestone from eons of marine deposits, JUSTIN’s soil is ideally suited to creating big, Bordeaux-style reds. The limestone “stresses” the vines, producing grapes that fully express their varietal character.

CLIMATE

Paso Robles’ distinctive microclimate offers the widest day-night temperature swings of any grape-growing region in California. The hot days allow the grapes to develop intense flavor, while the cool nights create great structure and balance.

OUR WINEMAKING PHILOSOPHY

At JUSTIN, we combine traditional Old World methods—like hand-harvesting and small-barrel aging in French oak—with New World technology. For example: the “Air Knife,” an ingenious process invented by our winemakers, boosts grape quality and efficiency.

Once the grapes are harvested, our winemakers—some of the best in the business—gather to sort, select, age, taste, blend and decide what goes into every bottle.
