OK. This is a personal best for me today. Our rep, Mike, brings this bottle. I taste it and am WOWed. I love it. I think it is great. I think you will love it. But then he tells me that this bottle bagged 92 points from Robert Parker in the Wine Advocate! 92! I feel validated! Big day for me. Big day for you because this amazing bottle is $18.49 in our shop. This is one where you need to buy a case. You do. You really do. Really. An Eric Solomon import, Domaine de la Janasse is a blend of 55% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Carignan, 5% Cinsault and  5% Mourvedre. The wine is concentrated but sophisticated with, as the winemaker says, "aromas reminiscent of herbs of Provence." The big deal here, and it is a BIG deal, is that this 20 acre vineyard is adjacent to the Chateauneuf du Pape vineyards so for all practical, drinkable, servable, etc. etc. purposes......

Review by Jeb Dunnuck @Robert Parker.com (Feb 2014) "A custome cuvee made by Christophe Sabon, the 2012 Cotes du Rhone Cuvee Reserve comes from older vines on the estate and is a blend of 55%Greanche, 25% Syrah, 10% Carignan and the balance Mourvedre and Cinsault. Aged 12 months in foudre, it's another superb value from this estate, and since 2011, the Cuvee Reserve has been a significant step up over the estate's classic Cotes du Rhone release. Drinking well past its humble price point, this 2012 exhibits notions of kirsch, blackberry, smoked meat, graphite and copious licorice nuances to go with a medium to full bodied, pure layered feel on the palate. It shows the purity of the vintage, as well as the richness that this estate is known for. It should continue to thrill for another 4 -5 years."
