"Metal Dectectorist"

Looking for treasure with a metal detector has a long history.

But, with the onslaught of technology, the art form fell out of style. Recent shows like the one shown here, "The Detectorists," (BTW, Andy and I agree that this is possibly the best show ever!), youtube channels (including the Nugget Noggin from Charlotte) and a push by celebrities (Drew Barrymore gives detectors away on her show) have brought the the treasure hunt back into focus across all demographics.

We celebrate this outdoor activity that combines history, exercise, excitement adventure, possible treasure! and no harm to anyone or anything. So, I asked Andy, a Metal Detectorists himself! which wine pairs with all that:

And he said: "Pardon My French" from Treasure Hunter

Walla Walla, Washington Red Blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot, 22% Cabernet Franc (240 Cases Produced)

Winery Tasting Notes: More brilliant than ten Einstein’s in a lighthouse and as powerful as Ajax’s red right hand, this wine is awash with layers of warm black plum, black cherry, blackcurrants, crème de cassis, and Indian spices. Softer flavors of white-cake, tobacco leaf, and toasted sage and rosemary are all knit together with fine-grained tannins to deliver a harmonious and enduring epiphany of flavor and righteous mouthfeel. This violet elixir is like a Tesla Coil, pulsing with potential and vitality. The power and poetry of nature entwine beautifully in this wine.   It’s just straight up f&%$*#g delicious and that’s why we call it, Pardon My French.
