New Release: April 7th, 2022
About: Grand Re-Opening of MetroWines with DAOU Vineyards
Please join us for the Grand Re-Opening of MetroWines on Saturday, May 14th from 1 to 5pm at 169 Charlotte Street with DAOU Vineyards. 169 Charlotte Street has been restored to it's original glory with exposed brick and a tin ceiling!
Represented by Mid-Atlantic Division Manager Caitlyn Gillette, DAOU will host stations that tell their story with selections of their award winning wines with perfectly paired bites prepared by Chef Sam Etheridge.
The Beginnings of DAOU: Brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou set forth across the globe to find an unrivaled terroir for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, a quest that led them to a place of foretold greatness: DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles.
DAOU is a family owned and operated winery committed to producing collectible, world-class wine to rival the most respected appellations in the world. Situated on a 212-acre hilltop estate, the remarkable geology, favorable microclimate, and 2,200 feet elevation, once described by renowned California winemaker André Tchelistcheff, as “a jewel of ecological elements.”
"We have, arguably, the most perfect climate in the world to ripen Bordeaux varieties and Cabernet Sauvignon,” says Daniel Daou. Daniel was one of the first to bring Cabernet clones to Paso Robles that deliver the highest possible quality-clones from the iconic regions of the world such as Bordeaux and Napa. And warm, temperate days and cool nights guarantee even ripening and vine balance every year.
The terroir of DAOU Mountain yields harvests of fruit with extraordinary phenolics, small berries with intense flavors, aromas, and deep colors from a low skin-to-juice ratio. Georges and Daniel promise to fulfill this mountain’s destiny of becoming one of the world’s greatest vineyards. DAOU Mountain rises from the heart of the Adelaida District in the rugged coast range in West Paso.
“There is a power within this Mountain we call home. It is a power that can turn mere raindrops and roots into extraordinary wines into lasting relationships that will endure for decades. Everyday we strive to create an experience as beautiful as these wines, ensuring that everyone who leaves here feels like family. There is nothing more important than human connection,”

And this is the very reason that DAOU is joining us for our Grand Re-opening," says Gina Trippi, co-owner of MetroWines, "we have become family. Over the past three years, we have partnered with DAOU for four wine pairing dinners at Bone and Broth, and DAOU continues to keep us and our customers part of the process from vine to table."
The event is $20 plus tax. For tickets, call (828) 575-9525 or register online here: https://metro-wines.More About DAOU Vineyards here: https://daouvineyards.
