The Renaissance in Florence was documented by scholars scribes and artists. At the heart, was Vespasiano da Bisticci. Born 1422, he was called then and now, "the king of the world's booksellers." At a time when books were made by hand, Vespasiano produced hundreds of volumes from his bookshop.
